How to Make: Bison Liver Jerky Natural Dog Treats
Share
If your doggy is like mine, they love a good, meaty treat. But, as dog parents, sometimes we look at those ingredients lists and wanna hurl! If you can't pronounce it, it shouldn't be going in your dog. So, today, I'm going to tell you how we make our bison liver jerky, full of iron and nutrients that will give your dog the energy they need!
We source our bison liver from local meat shops, so it's as fresh as it gets. The bison that so generously donated their livers to us (😳) happen to be from Oregon, right across the state border. Our provider slices the liver into strips, but when we get it home, we slice it even thinner for even drying.Â
From there, we soak the bison liver in our apple cider vinegar and rosemary extract marinade, with a pinch of salt. These ingredients help with the drying out process and have their own health benefits for the dogs!Â
Then, it's time to dry it out. We dry the liver strips at about 160 degrees for a full 12 hours, making sure to turn it multiple times. This step I do in the spare room, because while our dog treats are human-grade, the smell while they're drying can make a girl want to give up meat for life😂Â
There you have it! It's a process and labor of love to make our top-selling treats, but dogs go crazy for these. They can spot real quality! Treat your doggy to some REAL treats today (:
