What Does Kaluha Mean?

What Does Kaluha Mean?

Annie and Missy. In that order. Baby A and Baby B. We're two identical twin sisters and best friends. After Missy moved away to California and left me all alone here in Idaho (with my loving husband lol), I realized that I wanted to do something to stay tight with my long-time BFF.

Missy and I had just spent two years apart: me in Canada, and her in the Philippines. We were serving missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served speaking fluent Cebuano, and I spoke Mandarin as I served among the Chinese people. We wanted to bring a piece of our love for each other, the people we served with, and our missions into this company, so we decided to name our business "Twin" in our mission language. And, since Mandarin's word for twin (shuangbaotai) was a little too hard to pronounce haha, we ran with Cebuano: Kaluha. Thus, Kaluha Pet was born.

Missy and I talk multiple times every day now. We end every FaceTime saying, "Talk to you in half an hour." So, if this company has done nothing but bring me closer to my twinner, I'll take it. Our relationship that has grown is worth every hour and penny we've put into it.
